The sixth students' communities day and first outdoor music festival of SBS is grand held at the playground, Fengpu campus, on April 9. The deputy president, Lou Wengao, cuts the ribbon and declares the festival open. It attracts more than 3000 students, who come from 7 colleges of Fengxian District like East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Institute of Technology and Shanghai College of Electrical Engineering, to take part in this carnival.
The opening ceremony starts with a combination of a music festival and a huge garden party. Holding a big event at the outdoor ground is a creative attempt for SBS and for the all the universities in Shanghai. The music festival is a grand students’ event that relies mainly on the performances of Art Communities of college students. The garden party is held by 91 student communities of SBS, which hand out brochures, throw onsite games to spread out their young styles. It pushes the students “GET OUT THE DORM, GET OUT THE WEB” to get a healthy life.
This whole campaign marks a official beginning of one-month communities’ festival, which is themed of “Community Near By”. The festival demonstrates the high quality of SBS students’ communities and the self-management of the students through a series of events.
Secretary of youth league committee, Zhang Bing, deputy secretary, Lin Lina, Yu Huiping and the secretaries of league general branch of the secondary schools attend this campaign.
