On September 15th, SBS holds an orientation and military training opening ceremony for the 2014 freshmen, who come from all over the country. The university authorities, management, chief staffs and all the freshmen attend this meeting. Lou Wengao, Deputy President, hosts this event.
In the beginning, Zhu Guohong, SBS President, welcomes the students on behalf of the university. Then, he states 3 issues to the freshmen. 1, “Why and what is college”; 2, “What’s your goals in this 4 years”; 3, “How to reach the goals”. Finally, Zhu Guohong, wishes the freshmen to be in pursuit of efforts in the coming 4 years and to get splendid achievements in the future.

Deputy President, He Ying, announces < Decision of 2014 Scholarship to Freshmen>. And the authorities present the prizes to the winners. Afterwards, Zhao Lili, teacher of Tourism and Food Faculty, and Tan Shuhan, representative of full scholarship winners make speeches.

Assistant to the President, Zhong Youwei, read out the appointments of Military Training Leaders. Commander of the military training makes a kick-off speech. He hopes, with the co-work of the university and instructors, this training will be finished with a high standard. Later, Li Mingfu, the Party Secretary of SBS, holds a flag-giving ceremony.
