On June 14th, SBS foreign students take part in the 8th Shanghai University Dragon Boat Race, which is hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SMEC) and Shanghai Foreign students Education Association, and organized by East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST). 30 Universities send their teams to participate this competition.
19 SBS foreign students involve in this race, who actively prepared for this campaign since 2014. On the race day, the students still have trained in the morning. After having traditional Chinese rice-pudding as lunch in ECUST’s canteen, they go to watch the opening ceremony of Dragon Boat Festival. When the game starts, all the spectators cheer their own teams on. SBS Dragon Boat Team demonstrates the sports spirit and experiences the traditional Chinese culture. SBS foreign students want to have more culture experience like this.
