In the end of April, headed by President Zhu Guohong, SBS delegation recently visits the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. The delegation consists of Director of President Office, Hou Liyu, Director of Students’ Affairs Department, Huang Jianchang, Director of Personnel Department, Fan Mingyao, Deputy Director of International Affairs Department, Yang Bing, and Deputy Secretary of Faculty of Business and Economy, Xu Yingying.

The Faculty of Economics and Management Science receives SBS delegation. Dean of Economics and Management Science, Professor Kobus Visser, Dean of Graduate School, Professor Lorna Holtman, Director of International Relationship, Leolyn Jackson, Deputy Director of Scientific Research Center, Heng-hsing Hsieh, Director of Executive Office, Wasiem Rinquest, and Professor Bingwen Yan attend this meeting.

The both sides introduce their general information, developing plans, and future goals to each other.

Nowadays, University of the Western Cape has 21000 students, a third of them are graduates. Every year, nearly 2500 foreign students study in the school, a fourth of them study in the Faculty of Economics and Management. It sets similar specialties as SBS does, for instance, Accounting, Statistics, Taxation, Economics, Financing, Information System, Public Administration, Domestic/International Business, and Venture Investment. It surely is a nice ground to cooperate. The both sides intend to initiate some teachers and students exchange program in the future, particularly, in the fields of Informatization of Logistics Management and CFA Charter.

President Zhu Guohong also introduces Talent Revolving Program, Shanghai Famous Overseas Professor Introduction Project, and Government Scholarship for foreign students to the hosts to encourage more excellent oversees professors and teachers to study and work in SBS.
