On March 29th, Vice President of Université de Paris-Est Marne-La-Vallée, Frédéric TOUMAZET, and the delegation visit SBS. Deputy President, Ms. He Ying, Deputy Dean of Continuing Education, Chen Wei, and related staffs of International Exchange Office receive the French guests in the conference room 15 floor, Xuhui Campus.
In the beginning, Ms. He Ying introduces SBS’s characteristics, positioning of development, international running strategy and wish the two universities can get more cooperation on the training of teachers and students and school running. Then, Frédéric TOUMAZET briefly introduces Université de Paris-Est Marne-La-Vallée. During the meeting, Frédéric TOUMAZET and Chen Wei have an in-depth discussion on students exchanging, teachers training and researching, 4+1 studying program, and On-the-job degree course. The both sides express the willingness to promote the exchange between the two schools.

Université de Paris-Est Marne-La-Vallée is a public multi-disciplinary comprehensive university, which is dedicated to develop a high level education of the combination of academic knowledge and professional training. As a big movement of rebalancing and developing the high education in Paris Ile de France, Université de Paris-Est Marne-La-Vallée is established in 1991 with another 3 new colleges. By far, it has 11500 students, who are following the courses of Arts, Maths, IT, Material Science, Literature, Language, Economic Administration, and Humanities and Social Sciences. Totally, it has 12 faculties, 49 majors, 520 teachers and 16 joint-labs which cooperate with other colleges.
In the end, both of Université de Paris-Est Marne-La-Vallée and SBS express the interests of signing a Memorandum of understanding. President Frédéric TOUMAZET and the delegation appreciate the warm welcome of SBS. This meeting achieves good effects. It helps SBS and Université de Paris-Est Marne-La-Vallée having a deeper insight to each other and laying a fine foundation for further communication and cooperation.
