On the afternoon of Nov 12^th, “2016 Communication and Training Seminar for the Experience from the Reform of Belarusian State-Controlled Companies”, which was sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and hosted by SBS Shanghai Ministry of Commerce Training Base for International Business Officials, held its grand closing ceremony in Academic Building 1401 of SBS Xuhui Campus. Vice President Liu Mingzhe of Ministry of Commerce Training Institute for International Business Officials, Deputy Director Liu Beimin of Shanghai Commerce Commission Division of Foreign Economic Cooperation, and Vice President He Ying of SBS attended the ceremony. Vice President Liu Mingzhe, Vice President He Ying made speeches respectively on behalf of the hosting and sponsoring departments. Mr. Alexksei Vasilyev, First Vice Chairman of Belarusian State Property Committee made a speech on behalf of all the student trainees. The closing ceremony was presided over by Vice Dean Chen Wei of the College of Continuing Education.

The training seminar started at Oct 23^rd and ended at Nov 12^th. It lasted 21 days, with 34 students being trained, including government officials from Belarus State Property Committee, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Energy, Presidential Office, local State-Controlled Company Management departments, national concern, and the Supreme Court. To satisfy the training demand from Belarus, SBS Base made sufficient preparation. With the full support and coordination of Ministry of Commerce and State Council Supervision and Management Committee of State-Controlled Properties, the training base designed scientific training schedule, selected high quality lecturers, and arranged a variety of investigation activities and communication lectures. Centered on the topic of “Reform on State-Controlled Companies”, the training seminar held 15 thematic lectures, 9 on-site visit and investigation activities, and 1 leader summit. Multidimensional academic activities improved the high-level understanding of Belarusian leaders on the reform of state-controlled companies in China, which is helpful for Chinese and Belarusian official and scholars to promote cooperation on the reform of state-controlled companies and jointly explore the innovate concepts in the reform.

During the closing ceremony, Mr. Aleksei Vasilyev spoke highly of the achievements of this training seminar. He cordially appreciated the lecturers for their in-depth understanding to the professional fields, as well as the meticulous care offered by the organizers and methodical organization of the programs. The visit to China helped all Belarusian trainees to learn a lot, and enabled them to observe their own work from a different perspective evaluate the development potentials of the reform on Belarusian state-controlled companies. The training seminar is a successful practice for the development and cooperation on Chinese and Belarusian human resources.
