The Annual Work Conference for “Data of China – 100 University Project” was held in Beijing on Jan 6^th and 7^th. Vice President He Ying of SBS led SBS delegation to attend the meeting.

Director Chen Feng of National Center for Schooling Development Programme of Ministry of Education delivered a speech, Director Yu Wenhua of Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Education Big Data Science and Engineering made a keynote speech, and representatives from some 20 universities made reports. Head Liu Zhimin of  Department of Innovation and Development, National Center for Schooling Development Programme of Ministry of Education presided over the defense conference for universities selected into the “Data of China – 100 University Project”.

SBS Vice President He Ying, Dean Hu Qiaoduo of College of Information and Computer, and Vice Director Liu Huiqi of Division of Development and Planning attended the defense. Ms. He started from SBS’ philosophy of “Set up the school based on business education, focus on application”, and accurately described the solid foundation and distinct features of SBS in the construction of “One Belt One Road” Database, system of “revolving door for talents”, and business think tanks, and indicated clearly the advantages of SBS in top-level design, system and mechanism, investment, and supply. Dean Hu started from the cultivation of outstanding business talents with good command of big data, introduced the foundations and advantages of SBS in cultivation of big data talents, and envisioned the bright perspective of SBS after joining the “100 University Project”.

Director Yu Wenhua of Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Education Big Data Science and Engineering, Head Liu Zhimin of Department of Innovation and Development, National Center for Schooling Development Programme of Ministry of Education, and Director Wang Fei of Sugon Education Cooperation Center joined the defense. From the special industrial background of SBS, Ms. He Ying introduced the features of SBS database, which focuses on the business, and explained the unique features and channels for the construction of database. The specialists highly agreed with SBS on its application to joining the “100 University Project”, and showed expectation on SBS contributing its part to the construction of “Data of China – 100 University Project”.

After the defense, the SBS delegation had further communication with Liu Zhimin, who expressed welcome to SBS on its participation in the “100 University Project”.

“Data of China – 100 University Project” is a project initiated by National Center for Schooling Development Programme of Ministry of Education and Sugon Information Industry Co., Ltd in 2016. The project aims at creating innovative teams for industrial application and coordination, set up network based on the key sections of “100 University Project”, and realize the internationalization of the cultivation of big data talents. The successful participation of SBS in the “100 University Project” will have important influence on the construction of excellent business education, deepening of integrated reform, promotion of transformation and development, and the implementation of the 13^th 5-year development plan, so as to develop a new route for the development of SBS.
