Recently, Vice President He Ying warmly received Mr. Robert Michael Valli, Dean of LIU College of Management and Vivian Hu, Director of LIU Global China Program. The two parties had a meeting on the joint school program and student and faculty exchange and cooperation. Vice Director Xia Huanlong of Academic Affair Division “Industry, Academic, Research, Practice” Office, Chen Min, Dean of College of High Technology, and Yang Bing, Deputy Head of Division of International Communication accompanied during the visit.

He Ying extended warm welcome to the visit of the Valli delegation. The two parties had an in-depth discussion on the promotion of joint school program for innovation and entrepreneurship major, summer program for innovation and entrepreneurship, faculty training, etc.

During the meeting, He Ying expressed her focus on the start of innovation and entrepreneurship major, and wished that this will a part of the joint school program between two universities. LIU showed the current faculty and course design of the major, and mentioned that the program can be started once all resources are set. Then He Ying expressed high recognition to the summer innovation and entrepreneurship camp organized by LIU last year. The program received high satisfaction from the SBS students participated in the program. This year, 17 SBS students have already applied for the program. LIU wished that this program can be development in the long term and thus set up an alumni platform for the students visiting LIU. For the faculty training, He Ying purposed to recommend SBS faculties to received training at LIU in the form of visiting scholar, and wished that LIU can offer relevant majors, quota, topics, etc., to promote LIU to the visiting scholars applying for LIU. In the end, two parties expressed their genuine hope to the long-term communication and cooperation between two universities.
