On the morning of May 15^th, Shanghai Party Committee of Education and Hygiene Works (SPCEHW) Vice Secretary Cheng Danhong and Director Luo Ligang of Leaders’ Organization and other delegators visited SBS for on-site investigation. Li Xin, SBS Party Secretary, Lou Wengao, Vice Party Secretary and Secretary for Discipline Inspection, Weng Dewei, Vice Party Secretary and Vice President, He Ying, Vice President, Zhong Youwei, and Chen Jianfeng participated in the meeting.  

SPCEHW Vice Secretary Cheng Danhong pointed out that, in recent years, the leaders of SBS has concentrated their focus and strength together, relied closely on the faculties and students, embraced the mission of virtue establishment and people cultivation, cleared its principle of “developing based on business and practical application”, deepened comprehensive education reform, focused on modern communication of commerce and trade, closely fitting itself to the construction demand of Shanghai International Trade Center, and actively promoted the stable and orderly development of the university targeting on “constructing an applied-technology university matching the functionalities of Shanghai with unique features on business education”. Recently, due to work demands, comrade Zhu Guohong is now transferred to Shanghai University of International Business and Economics as its president. To guarantee the normal operation of SBS, SPCEHW had decided to appoint Secretary Li Xin to function as President ad interim. Vice Secretary Cheng Danhong wished that SBS leaders could fully cooperate with Secretary Li Xin on the conduction of all school works, implement works and ideas without interruption, and put all energy into the promotion of school works, keep implementing the spirit of National Higher Education Institution Ideology and Political Works Meeting by comprehensively encouraging the Party structure construction, and promote the reform and development of the university by closely targeting on its tasks. 

SBS Party Secretary Li Xin reported the recent works of SBS. First is to focus on the construction of leadership by enhancing the party structure and ideology construction of party members, and by implementing the construction of party structures among departments. Second is to govern the party with strict rules, and actively conduct the special investigation work of the municipal committee, and accelerate the adjustment and correction work. Third is to normalize the “studies on the theoretical and practical issues of party building”. Forth is to implement the spirit of National Higher Education Institution Ideology and Political Works Meeting and that of Shanghai Higher Education Institution Ideology and Political Works Meeting. Li Xin mentioned that, SBS leaders will firmly support the decisions of SPCEHW by taking care of political effects, the overall situation, and its social responsibility, encouraging the development, promoting the positive attitudes, enhancing the good habits and unity, and positively leading the SBS team. SBS leaders will definitely cohere the faculties and students to actively complete all tasks of SBS, following the requirements made by Municipal Education Commission Comprehensive Reform and the 13^th “5-year plan”. 

During the meeting, SBS Vice Party Secretary and Secretary for Discipline Inspection Lou Wengao introduced the check of risky points in the construction of honest administration style of CPC party and the demonstrative construction works in the construction of party structures. SBS Vice Party Secretary and Vice President Weng Dewei reported the current progress of SBS for implementing the spirits of National Higher Education Institution Ideology and Political Works Meeting. Vice President He Ying reported the construction and development of Ministry of Commerce Training Base for Commercial Officials from Developing Countries. Vice President Zhong Youwei reported the construction of “Intelligent Campus” and the reform of logistics service. Vice President Chen Jianfeng reported the reform plan for professional international certification and professional talent cultivation.
