On the morning of Mar. 6th, SBS Vice President He Ying warmly received the delegation of University of Pardubice (UPa) led by Vice President Jana Kubanova and Director of International Investigation and Cooperation Eva Schmidova. The two parties had constructive discussions on the communication and cooperation between the two universities. Dai Ying of School of International Education also accompanied during the visit.
He Ying first extended her warm welcome to the UPa delegation, and then briefly introduced the information of SBS. The two parties had an in-depth discussion on student exchange, faculty exchange, academic communication, postdoctoral projects, etc. The two parties reached initial intents for cooperation on specific projects, including faculty training and student exchange programs, they also reached consensus on the construction of long-term mechanism for cooperation between two universities.
University of Pardubice, located in Pardubice, an chemical industrial city of Czech, is a higher education institution famous for its chemistry research, with strength at technical chemistry (organic dyes, additives for fodder, chemical fertilizer, membrane separation techniques, fiber products, fabric chemistry, etc.), food chemistry and technology (food evaluation and analysis), clinical biology, and chemistry. Its paper pulp chemistry, visual arts (printing technologies and materials) majors are among the best in Czech. UPa also has solid-state chemistry laboratory and research center for new inorganic materials that are in cooperation with Czech Academy of Sciences. UPa is one of the 26 public higher institutions in Czech, with 130 different subjects for undergraduate, master, and Ph.D. level education.
