On September 29, Shang Yuying, Vice Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, met with representative officials participating in 2019 Seminar on Urban Planning and Construction for Official at Ministerial Level, which was sponsored by Commercial Department of P.R.C. and organized by SBS, such as Mr. Tazer Gebreegziaher Berha, Vice-minister of Ministry of Urban Development and Construction, Ethiopia, Mr. Mesfin Arthurfa Casaye, Vice-minister of Ministry of Urban Development and Construction, Ethiopia, Mrs. Marilena Lucana Kristea, Vice-governor of Dâmboviţa, Romania, Mr. Allie Baka Conte, General Secretary of Department of Labo, Sierra Leone, Mr. Zlatan Klaukits, Minister of European Integration and International Cooperation Department, Bosna and Hercegovina and other representative officials at the ministerial level. Zhu Yi, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Bai Guoqiang, Chief Engineer of Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment and He Ying, Vice-president of SBS et al. participated in the meeting.

On behalf of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Shang Yuying extended warm welcome to the officials at the ministerial level for their arrival in Shanghai, China, for the Seminar on Urban Planning and Construction for Official at Ministerial Level. Shang Yuying said, as The “Belt and Road” Initiative was carried out in a deep-going way, more and more countries actively participated in the initiative and hoped to make joint development with China. Through construction of “Five Centers” in Shanghai, the core competitiveness of Shanghai as a port city had been improved. Since the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy, Shanghai had gained substantially economic development, and displayed good development prospect in sectors such as manufacturing, consumption, and trade etc. Shanghai had good cooperative relationship of investment trade with countries such as Romania and Ethiopia and so on. She wished that the participating ministers and officials borrow and introduce the successful experiences of Shanghai to their countries so as to build their motherland and to realize joint development with China.

On behalf of present foreign guests, Mr. Tazer Gebreegziaher Berha, Vice-minister of Ministry of Urban Development and Construction, Ethiopia, expressed thanks to all the departments of Shanghai Municipal People's Government for their strong support to Seminar on Urban Planning and Construction for Official at Ministerial Level, and he also praised the elaborate preparations and organizations that SBS had made as an organizer in aspects of curriculum design, visit and inspection arrangement and so on, and he also expressed his gratefulness to the staff for their thoughtful care and concern. He emphatically introduced his feelings and thoughts about the Seminar, and he also highly praised the rapid development and changes which occur on each passing day in Shanghai. He expressed his gratitude to Chinese government for its support to Ethiopia in the domain of infrastructure and hoped that more Chinese enterprises went to Ethiopia for investment.
