On the afternoon of March 7, 2023, Shanghai Business School (SBS) held 2023 Seminar on International Exchange Work at Meeting Room 703 of Fengpu Campus. Present at the seminar were He Ying, member of the standing committee of the SBS Party Committee and Vice President of SBS; Liu Bin, Director of the Office of International Exchange; deans of secondary level faculties; and the staff of the Office of International Exchange. The seminar was presided over by He Ying.

Liu Bin firstly gave a report on the international cooperation and exchange work of SBS. She made a summary about the current situation and development achievements of the internationalization of the school from six aspects (i.e., institutions, platforms, education, research, faculties and curriculum), and stressed the importance of international exchange and cooperation in terms of the construction and assessment of first-class disciplines, first-class undergraduate specialties and Master's degree programs, and plateau disciplines at high-level local colleges and universities. On this basis, she analyzed the major problems in international cooperation and exchange for the time being, and the focuses of the school’s international cooperation and exchange work in 2023.

He Ying proposed her suggestions on the international cooperation and exchange work. She pointed out that all departments and secondary level faculties should fully understand the importance of international cooperation and exchange work, strengthen top-level design, and integrate international cooperation and exchange into the whole process of running the school; and should systematically plan the priorities and directions of international cooperation and exchange according to their characteristics and advantages, continuously promote international cooperation on scientific research, and fully utilize the support from all levels.

The focuses of the international cooperation and exchange work in 2023 were deployed at the seminar, with a view to the “14th Five-year Plan” of the school and the main points of work in 2023. In the next stage, the school will continue to focus on serving for national strategic needs, strengthen the confidence in educational opening-up to the outside, give full play to its location and school-running characteristics, and accelerate the pace of educational internationalization, striving to promote international exchange and cooperation to a new level.
