On the morning of May 6, Professor Wang Nianhua, Director of the China Center of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Weng Weng from the Shanghai Office visited our school. They were warmly received by He Ying, Vice President of our school; Liu Bin, Director of the Office of International Exchange; and Xiong Ping’an, Director of the Academic Affairs Office. The two sides held talks on exchange and cooperation between teachers and students of the two schools.

Professor Wang highly praised the friendly cooperative relationship between our school and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, introduced the academic cooperation programs they had launched with well-known China’s universities such as Tongji University and Zhejiang University, and welcomed our participation in the cooperation. In the end, he stressed that the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign would further deepen the implementation of teacher visits and student exchange programs with our school to promote educational exchanges.

President He expressed the good will to further strengthen the friendly cooperation relationship between our school and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and put forward constructive suggestions and requirements for teacher visits, talent training, pre-Master programs, and specialty courses.
