On Nov. 16, Vice President He Ying, as the representative of the undertaker of foreign-aid training, attended the “Belt and Road” “Going Global” Enterprise Symposium themed by “New Challenges, New Opportunities, and New Development” and held at the city hall, and delivered a speech. At the symposium, He Ying signed a cooperation agreement on foreign-aid training with Arcplus in the presence of Vice Mayor of Shanghai Zong Ming, Deputy Secretary-General of the Party Committee of Shanghai Municipality Shang Yuying, etc. The symposium was held jointly by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai. Also present at the ceremony were the representatives of 16 government agencies (such as Shanghai Municipal Development & Reform Commission, Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Foreign Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, and the Special Commissioner’s Office in Shanghai of the Ministry of Commerce) and 32 related enterprises and institutions.
He Ying delivered a speech, titled “New Development, New Opportunities, Foreign-aid Training Helping Enterprises Going Global”. She said that, in face of the adverse situation caused by COVID-19, the foreign-aid training base of SBS actively served the “Belt and Road Initiative” and the socioeconomic development of Shanghai. Relying on 4,671 officials and enterprise managers from 137 countries and international organizations in previous training sessions, the base not only united with developing countries in combating COVID-19, but also engaged in active foreign exchanges, aiming to help enterprises “go global”, promote economic and trade cooperation, and break new ground in international cooperation. Next, she introduced the work achievements of the base from five aspects, that is, combating COVID-19 jointly with developing countries, organizing post-training trainee surveys and follow-up interviews, promoting economic and trade cooperation, holding online international financial summit forums, and preparing for Sino-Uruguay online seminar. In the end, she reported our plans for helping enterprises “Going Global” through foreign-aid training from the aspects of conducting pre-training communication, adapting to enterprises and trainees’ demands, increasing enterprises’ degree of involvement, and building exchange and cooperation platforms.
