Lately, delegation of The Fred S. Klipsch Educators College, Marian University, comprising a total of 19 teachers and students, visited our school for communication and exchange.

At noon, all the persons went to canteen on the third floor for lunch, and Chinese and American students introduced themselves and talked with each other during the lunch. Later, Zeng Na, a teacher from International Education College of our school, made a brief introduction about our school, including schools and departments, student’s overseas communications and exchange activities, international students’ recruitment program etc. in the conference room of complex building. Dai Ying, Associate Dean of International Education College, answered questions raised by the leading teacher of the delegation. Guided by Chinese teachers and students, the delegation walked around the school, visited self-service store, international students’ dormitory, gymnasium, tennis court, basketball court and Swan Lake etc.

After the visit, the group came to tearoom for entertainment and rest, and members of Tea Art Society brewed teas for everyone. When tasting tea, they appreciated Dance of the Han nationality and Chinese Classical Folk Music. To make sure that American students have a better understanding of Chinese Culture, members of Society of Han Chinese Clothing helped them to put on Han Chinese Clothes and taught them the dance by guiding them through the entire piece of classical music.

Chinese and American students exchanged postcards in the tearoom, and Chinese students sent small gifts to American students. Chinese and American teachers also exchanged gifts in warm and friendly atmosphere. Later, they came to table tennis gym, and under the guidance of school table tennis team, American friends experienced the game, and volunteers formed teams with American students to play table tennis, which further enhanced good impression of American friends for Table Tennis.

Finally, the students of both sides took group photos and left contact information, and the reception volunteers walked American students to the coach and waved farewell to them and to the transient while wonderful experience with American friends.

The visit of delegation of Klipsch Educators College, Marian University, in our school, not only initiated the communication between two institutes, but also laid a good foundation for cooperation of two institutes in aspects of exchange visits of teachers and students and exchange student’s program, and enhanced Chinese and American students’ understanding of cultures of opposite sides. Moreover, our school took the opportunity to display rich and colorful club cultures in our school and beautiful and profound aspects of Chinese Culture.
