Freshmen of 2013 were well received and warmly welcomed. They were picked up at the railway station and airport by the Deputy Deans Zhang Songbin, Ning Yan and the tutors of the Faculty of Information and computer. Besides, the staffs planed all the steps of the freshmen’s reception procedure thoughtfully, such as welcome board, school image, parents consulting, register point and heatstroke aid.
The student mentoring scheme is a special feature of Faculty of Information and Computer. For serving the freshmen well, the student mentoring association had selected and trained the senior students since June. In the summer holiday, the senior students took the initiative to contact the freshmen and build the connection via help them with registration, living mentoring and studying help. After the freshmen reception, the student mentoring association also launched a whole train of events for the new students.
