Six training courses opened in August, which include “Training Courses for Investment and trade facilitation in Angola of 2019” ,“Training Courses for Maritime Management in Portuguese-speaking Countries of 2019”, “Training Courses for Management of Middle and Small-sized Enterprises in the Philippines of 2019”, “Training Courses for Infrastructure Construction Planning in Uganda of 2019” and “Training Courses for Urban Planning and Construction in French-speaking Countries in Africa of 2019” as well as “Training Courses for Management of Middle and Small-sized Enterprises in Latin American countries, Caribbean countries and the South Sea Islands of 2019”, are sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of P.R.C. and organized by Training Base of International Commerce Officers of Commercial Department of our school(Shanghai) and completed by holding closing ceremonies in the afternoon of August 20, in the afternoon of August 22, in the afternoon of August 26, in the afternoon of August 28 and in the morning of August 29 as well as in the afternoon of August 29, respectively, in the room 1401 in the teaching building at the Xuhui Campus. Li Zhen, Deputy Director of Department of Foreign Economic Cooperation, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, attended the closing ceremonies for “Training Courses for Maritime Management in Portuguese-speaking Countries of 2019”, while Liu Beimin, Deputy Director of Department of Foreign Economic Cooperation, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, attended the closing ceremonies for the next five training programs.

A total of 151 officials from 24 countries have participated in these six training courses. We has made thorough preparation for these six training courses. During the courses, based on different training subjects, we have combined theoretical study with experiential learning in a dynamic way. On the one hand, we have arranged related special lectures and invited experts and scholars from government agency, colleges and universities, scientific research institution and well-known enterprises to the lectures where the trainees and officers have opportunities to have in-depth discussions and communication with them; on the other hand, we also have arranged on-the-spot investigation and study for the trainees and officers in Cities other than Shanghai, so that they would have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the fundamental realities of China and China’s research achievement and practical experience in related domain.

Many programs are arranged in August, when bad weather such as high temperature and typhoon take place. The staff of our training base has taken measures to prevent and respond to the extreme weather. During the summer holidays, school leaders gave their recognition for the works performed by the training base. Secretary Shen Daming went to Xuhui Campus and expressed solicitude for the base employees who stood fast and remained at their posts. Vice-president He Ying accompanied the class of Middle and Small-sized Enterprises in the Philippines when they travelled to Fuzhou City and Quanzhou City in Fujian Provinces for field investigation. Next, our school are going to handle four foreign assistance training projects simultaneously in September.
