On Oct. 16, the delegation led by Chen Zhenlu, CEO of Metro Education, visited our school, and was warmly received in the meeting room on F16 at Xuhui Campus by Yang Bing, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange, and Chen Wei, Deputy Dean of Continuing Education Faculty.

At the meeting, Chen Zhenlu, General Manager of Metro Education introduced the history of Metro Education. Yang Bing and Chen Wei introduced the histories and development situations of the Office of International Exchange and Continuing Education Faculty, and the basic conditions of our continuing education and foreign-aid training. The two sides also explored the possibilities of cooperation and exchanges in the future.

Chen Zhenlu expressed the willingness of Metro Education to cooperate with our school in terms of student exchange, teaching staff training, and overseas study. Yang Bin hoped that the international cooperation program of Metro Education would be able to broaden students’ international vision, and cultivate professional talents with high competitiveness on future job markets.

After the meeting, Chen Wei, Deputy Dean of the Continuing Education Faculty, and related personnel showed the delegation of Metro Education around Guoquan Road Campus and Fengpu Campus.

Metro Education is headquartered in Singapore, and issues UK certificates. The headquarters of the Association of International Accountants (AIA) in China offers training, registration, examination, and recognition services for AIA programs. Another program of AIA is a “1+3/2+1/3+0” overseas study and preparatory course program offered to high school graduates. After completing the AIA program in China, students can select a national university of the UK, the US, or Australia to finish the last year and obtain a Bachelor’s degree there.

Currently, Metro Education has established regional offices in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Dalian, Qingdao, Nanchang, Zhengzhou, Guiyang, Taiwan, and South Korea, and has more than 3,000 students at school (including full-time and part-time). Its partners include Shanghai Lixin University of Commerce, Renmin University of China, Zhejiang University, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, Wuhan University, Huazhong Agricultural University, etc.
