On October 25, the closing ceremony for Seminar on Infrastructure Construction and Planning for Zambia 2019, which was sponsored by Ministry of Commerce of P.R.C. and organized by Training Base of International Commerce Officers (Shanghai) of our school, was held in Room 1401, teaching building, Xuhui Campus. Liu Beimin, Deputy Director from Department of Foreign Economic Cooperation of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Chen Wei, Associate Dean of School of Continuing Education of our school, were present and delivered speeches, and conferred course-completion certificates to the trainees.

A total of 27 trainees participated in Seminar on Infrastructure Construction and Planning for Zambia 2019, and they were from units such as Housing and Infrastructure Ministry of Zambia, Ministry of Local Governments, Department of National Development Plan, Commission of National Construction, Congress of Lusaka and Municipal Council of Chongwe etc. Lectures such as Planning and Management of Water Resources, Overall Municipal Planning and Implementation of Shanghai, Design and Construction Technique of Urban Road, Energy Planning and Management etc. were given in the seminar, and the trainees had visited Shanghai Company of China Telecom, The First Research Institute of Telecommunications Technology Co., Ltd., CHNT Electronics Co., Ltd., Meng-Qing Hall (Suzhou Creek Industrial Civilization Museum), Shanghai Huancheng Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., Jiangqiang Household Waste Incineration Plant and so on. Moreover, they had been to Chengdu and Dujiangyan, Sichuan and Chongqing for visit and inspection, so that the trainees have deep understanding of the fundamental realities of China and the research achievement and practical experience in terms of infrastructure planning and construction in China.

During the seminar, trainees also watched the military parade to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China. The trainees had deeper understanding of brilliant achievements that China has achieved in fields of economy, culture, science and technology as well as people's livelihood etc. since the founding of New China, which further deepened the friendship between China and Zambia.

Trainees highly appreciated the training opportunity and highly praised the training result of the seminar. Through the seminar, they acquired professional knowledge, improved practical ability and broaden visions in related domains. More importantly, they developed deep friendship with Chinese people.
