On the morning of October 1, the military parade for the celebration of the 70^th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China was performed solemnly on the Tiananmen Square. On the day of national celebration, students of Training Base of International Commerce Officers of SBS Commercial Department, were arranged to watch English live broadcasting of the military parade. All the students of Seminar on Infrastructure Construction and Planning for Zambia 2019 were present.

After the military parade ended, the enthusiasm of China and Zambia ran high, and both parties had made in-depth exchanges. Mr. David Thomson Tambo, leader of Zambian students, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the 70^th Anniversary of the Founding of New China and sincere gratitude to Ministry of Commerce of P.R.C., sponsor of the seminar, and SBS, organizer of the seminar. He said, “good bilateral relationship between two countries is quite important to Zambia. He had been to China in 2008, but he had totally different feelings when he came to China once again in 2019. China had changed a lot. The rise of China was realized in a short period of time, and it seemed to be a miracle. Now, China had become the backbone for the development of world economy, and its successful experiences was worth learning.” In addition, he expressed his hopes and expectations for the future development of China and Zambia.

Ms. Chismba Muffana, a student from Zambia, said, “I have noticed that harmony and cooperation are two very important things in Chinese culture. If a nation can have its people united, she would be invincible. At the same time, she would bring wealth to her people. The “Belt and Road” Initiative advocated by China in recent years has helped a lot of companies, and China is ready to share its experience and resources. China loves peace and its people are friendly, which impressed me a lot.”

The military parade was comprised of two steps, that is, military parade and march-past, respectively, which lasts for about 80 minutes. 59 square teams (echelon) and military bands were arranged in the military parade, and about 15,000 people, 160 air-crafts of all types and 580 sets of equipment are involved, which have made their debut since the socialism with Chinese characteristics entered a new era and after the reform and remodeling of the people's army.

Chinese army has always been a steadfast force for the maintenance of world peace and regional stability. By watching the military parade, Zambian students had gained deeper understanding of the brilliant achievement that China had achieved in the domains of economy, culture, science and technology as well as people's livelihood etc. since the founding of New China. China and Zambia would be bound to deepen cooperation and strengthen their friendship to make joint effort for the noble cause of construction of the world as an integral whole with a common destiny.
